Bernie has the confused look of someone with early stages of dementia.

He is a grumpy old man isn’t he? I know a lot of Republicans are the same way but he looks the worse to me.

He went to the Soviet Union in the winter for his honeymoon; that’s certainly not right by any measure.

As a total outsider these US elections are weird to me*. On the Democrat side you’ve got the dreamy/grumpy old man plus a teflon iron lady, on the Republican side the frontrunners appear to be a variety of insane comic book villains.
*Not insinuating everything is even close to perfect here.

Outside of Geert Wilders, would you mind telling me the problems with politics there?

He’s “evolving” on that issue. Who knows, maybe seeing Communist Socialism in work tempered his outlook on it.

That’s pretty accurate. The only candidate worth voting for is way down in the polls.

That’s a question someone more eloquent than me could write books about. I could write a few things down though;
Fragmentation. We’ve got a multi party system with no actual electoral threshold; with 1/150 of the votes you’ll get 1/150 of the seats in parliament. This has always worked well, but due to fragmentation in the last few elections the number of parties needed to reach a majority coalition is increasing. Which isn’t practical at all.
Growing unrest about not feeling represented, ‘those immigrants’, perceived self-enrichment at the top and unrealistic expectations (lower taxes, more welfare, higher wages,...) fuelled by populists like Wilders et al has created a significant disgruntled segment of the population. These people will vote (if the weather is nice), but they will not vote for a party that’ll likely be a part of the majority coalition. This tends to be an, on average, a below average educated part of the population. Normal parties are increasingly trying to cater to these people, dumbing down politics and losing nuance.
Career politicians, populists, you name it. Out of touch with reality and/or more concerned about the well being of themselves rather than the country. Probably a problem in lots of places.
Immigration-related problems. Mostly a culture clash, especially caused by young men with a North-African background. Theft, assault, sexual assault (general lack of respect for women) and welfare leaching mostly. That, and creating a general feel of unease. Young men independent of background tend to be more prone to creating problems, but the ones with a ‘Muslim background’ are overrepresented in the statistics to an extreme extent, even when taking socio-economic situations into account.
While these problems exist, they tend to be handled wrong in ways in either extreme. Traditionally, in the 90s and before, the general response was ignoring these problems, as you don’t want to be perceived as a racist. This is still a prevalent sentiment on Gawker for example. Until a few years ago it seemed like you could politically choose between looking away or going full racist, instead of actually addressing real problems based on facts rather than racism or extreme political correctness. Anyway, too many years of inaction has led many people to the extremes (Wilders). This is making things worse, not better.
